Sophomore Erin McAndrews (Marblehead, Mass.) of the Suffolk University Softball team earned second team All-Conference honors by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) for the 2012 season.

McAndrews led the Rams in nearly every offensive category during the 2012 season as the sophomore third base/catcher finished the season hitting .351 starting in all 41 games for Suffolk. McAndrews led the teams with a .650 slugging percentage that included team bests in home runs (4), triples (6) and doubles (12) while her 42 hits on the year were the second most in the Rams lineup.

McAndrews caught fire towards the end of the season, ending the year with an 11-game hitting streak while she helped guide the Rams to a nine-game winning streak to round out the regular season. Suffolk finished the year with a 20-21 overall record, reaching the GNAC playoffs before falling to Norwich University in the opening round of the the eight-team tournament.

Over the course of the final 11 games, McAndrews hit at a .438 clip (14-for-32) that included all four of her season's home runs. McAndrews had a pair of homers in an 8-7 victory over Pine Manor College on April 21 that included a two-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the seventh inning. In their lone playoff game, McAndrews accounted for Suffolk's lone run of the game with a solo blast in an 8-1 loss.

In 41 games, McAndrews had multi-hit games in 12 contests while she also knocked in a team-high 39 runs. Her .420 on-base percentage and 16 walks also led the Rams.

McAndrews also finished among the league leaders in most offensive categories within the GNAC. Her triples total was second best in the league,  she was fourth in base on balls, sixth in RBI, tenth in slugging percentage and doubles and her four home runs were tied for the 12th most.

Suffolk finished the season with a 20-21 overall record while recording a 13-13 record in GNAC play.
