The Suffolk University Softball team took a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) double header from the Albertus Magnus Falcons this past Thursday as the Rams outscored the Falcons 19-1 in the two games combined.

The Rams put together 13 hits in a 10-1 victory as senior Monica Cioffi (East Boston, Mass.) was 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Junior Liz Galvin (Medway, Mass.) and freshman  Samantha McGilvray (Brighton, Mass.).also had three hits each in the game, while sophomore Lindsey Rogers (Gloucester, Mass.) connected on her first career home run.

Galvin was also dominant on the mound as she threw a one-hit shutout to lead the Rams to a 9-0 victory. Suffolk drew 10 walks in the game, including four to Cioffi as they sent 33 hitters to the plate in the shortened five inning game. Sophomore Lauren Barrett (Milton, Mass.) had a pair of RBI, while junior Karina Bolster (Carlisle, Pa.) was a perfect 3-for-3.
