TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Suffolk men's cross country placed 28th at the Pre-National Championship under the lights Friday night at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at Rose Hulman.
The Rams claimed 28th in the field of 46 that featured nine nationally ranked teams. Suffolk combined for 781 points.
RAMS RUNNERS
- Tim Barry was a force as the fifth-year senior raced through the finisher's chute in 25:21.67 to take 37th in the field of 405. He was the only Suffolk student-athlete to claim a spot in the top 150.
- Thomas Novy and Hayden Green were separated by 20 runners. Novy notched 168th behind a 26:42.65, while Green finished 186th with a 26:54.52 showing.
- Cam Fredette finished 214th with a 27:07.63 showing.
- Jacob Dubin crossed the line in 27:40.15, good for 275th.
- Connor Hayward rounded out the Rams on the course, which will host the 2024 NCAA Division III Championship. The senior took 309th with a 28:00.78 performance.
THAT'S A FIRST
- Suffolk ran at night for the first time as a cross country squad in known history.
- The Rams competed at the Pre-National Championship meet for the first time in program history.

The Rams make the short trip to Waterford, Connecticut Saturday, Oct. 19 for the Connecticut College Invitational.
