Men’s Cross Country Stays Sixth in East in USTFCCCA Poll

USTFCCCA RELEASE

NEW ORLEANS – Suffolk men's cross country remained sixth in the East in the most recent U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Regional Poll.

The Rams, who moved up to a program best sixth a week ago, held onto the spot after its 13th-place showing at the highly competitive Blugold Invite in Colfax, Wisconsin last Friday. The 25-team field featured multiple nationally ranked team and nearly every top-10 squad from the North Region.

Suffolk, who has not missed a regional poll since its debut in week one of the 2021 campaign, is the only CCC program to be featured in the USTFCCCA regional rankings this year.

The USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country Coaches' Rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning team's strengths with current season results, when applicable, in determining a rank-order by squad potential. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible to receive a ranking. The weekly regional ranking by the USTFCCCA began in 2010.

Suffolk has turned its attention to the Suffolk Invitational Saturday, Oct. 14. The invite will dual as the Battle for Boston Commons, a head-to-head with Emerson.
