USTFCCCA RELEASE

NEW ORLEANS – Suffolk men's cross country jumped up to sixth in the East in the latest U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Regional Rankings, the national organization unveiled.

The sixth spot is the highest the Rams have been ranked since the program made its debut in the weekly poll week one of the 2021 campaign.

The blue-and-gold continues to be the lone Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) program to be featured in the USTFCCCA regional rankings this season.

The USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country Coaches' Rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning team's strengths with current season results, when applicable, in determining a rank-order by squad potential. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible to receive a ranking. The weekly regional ranking by the USTFCCCA began in 2010.

Suffolk has its toughest meet of the regular-season on tap this Friday, Sept. 29, the Blugold Invite hosted by the University of Wisconsin EAU Claire at the Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wisconsin. The men's 8k gets underway at 4:30 p.m.
