Men’s Cross Country Moves Up to Eighth in East in USTFCCCA Rankings

USTFCCCA RELEASE

NEW ORLEANS – Following the season opener, Suffolk men's cross country jumped up to eighth in the East in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association regional rankings, the national organization announced.

Suffolk continues to be a staple in the regional rankings since making the program's debut week one of the 2021 campaign. The Rams are the lone CCC member to appear in the week 1 edition of the USTFCCCA regional rankings this season.

The USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country Coaches' Rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning team's strengths with current season results, when applicable, in determining a rank-order by squad potential. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible to receive a ranking. The weekly regional ranking by the USTFCCCA began in 2010.

The Rams return to action this Saturday, Sept. 16 when they head to New Gloucester, Maine for the Bates Invitational at Pineland Farms.
