USTFCCCA RELEASE

NEW ORLEANS – Suffolk men's cross country checked in eighth in the Est in the latest U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional rankings, the national organization announced Tuesday.

The Rams moved up a spot after their runner-up finish at the 2022 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships over the weekend at Rotary State Park in Biddeford, Maine.

Suffolk has been a staple in the regional rankings since making the program's debut week one of the 2021 campaign. The Rams are the lone CCC member to appear in the USTFCCCA regional rankings this season.

The USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country Coaches' rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning teams' strengths with current season results, when applicable in determining in a rank-order of squad potential. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible to receive a ranking. The weekly regional ranking by the USTFCCCA began in 2010.

Suffolk work on its performances leading up to the 2022 NCAA Division III East Regionals that are on the docket Saturday, Nov. 12 at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.
