Barry Named CCC Runner of the Week

CCC RELEASE 

BIDDEFORD, Maine – Tim Barry of the Suffolk men's cross country garnered Commonwealth Coast Conference earned CCC Runner of the Week for his effort at the Suffolk Invitational over the weekend. 

Barry, a junior from Westborough, Massachusetts, was the third NCAA Division III student-athlete to cross the 8k finish line at Franklin Park Saturday and the first CCC runner to came through the chute with a personal-best time of 26:40. That mark was good for 13th in the field of 200-plus runs. He ran at a 5:22 pace and helped the blue-and-gold finish third overall, second among DIII teams.  

Barry is the second Ram to take home CCC Runner of the Week this season, first since Thomas Novy grabbed the same recognition week 4. Overall this year, Suffolk has had three student-athletes recognized this year with Sean Jacobsen earning CCC Rookie of the Week Sept. 26.  

Suffolk and Barry will be back in action when it competes for the CCC Championship Saturday, Oct. 29 at Rotary State Park in Biddeford, Maine.
