2020 SUFFOLK MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY ROSTER
BOSTON – Head coach Will Feldman recruited the largest freshmen class in Suffolk men's cross country history as 11 rookies joined the squad for the 2020 season.
"Last year we were excited about the depth of the class, but this year we've gone above and beyond," Feldman said. "I'm beyond excited to work with such a talented group of freshmen, and watch them push the older guys. We're going to have some very competitive training sessions."
Two runners in particular stand out from the rest.
Feldman stated, "Luke (Sikora) and Selvin (Backert) have the talent to step right in and contend for the number two spot on the team and all-conference honors. They are just that good."
A handful, meanwhile, have contention to be in the blue-and-gold's top five. "Conor (Garrity), Jacob (Dubin), Tom (Fidrocki), and Nico (Miele) were all on the verge of breakout senior seasons prior to the pandemic … They've been running 50-70 miles a week all summer and it shows."
Suffolk's traditional season was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the lack of the competition, the rookies joined the veterans throughout training sessions in the fall with potential races to take place in Spring 2021.
