WINTHROP, Mass. – Each week the Rams raced this year they have swept the GNAC weekly awards and once again Suffolk men's cross country did just that as Matyas Csiki-Fejer was tabbed GNAC Runner of the Week and Guilaume Glaudel was named the best rookie, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

In his first full five-mile race of 2019, Csiki-Fejer put together a time of 25:10.54, to finish as the 257-field's runner-up at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, just under 30 seconds after Trinity's Weyessa McAllister.

Glaudel, meanwhile, made his name known in his collegiate debut with an 87th-place finish thanks to a time of 27:50.33. Not only was he the second finisher for Suffolk, but the second out of all GNAC runners on the course as the Rams were joined by Emmanuel, Saint Joseph's (Maine), Regis and Johnson & Wales in Dartmouth on Saturday.

The pair anchored Suffolk to a team finish of 15, the highest for the Rams' at the annual event in recent history and the best of all conference counterparts on the 8k course.

The award haul brings Suffolk's total to four in 2019 with Csiki-Fejer accounting for half the Manchester, Missouri product has a pair of best runner status on his resume as a sophomore. Overall, Csiki-Fejer has been named the league's top runner three times. Glaudel earned the first weekly recognition of his career joining his classmate Cole Bolduc who picked up the feat (Sept. 4).

Suffolk will take this weekend off before heading up to the Keene State College Invitational Oct. 5.
