BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Suffolk men's cross country team opened its 2016 campaign Saturday morning at the UNE Invitational at Rotary Park, where the Rams' placed 12th in the 14 team field.

Junior Paulo Guedes paced Suffolk's runners with a time of 31:24 to take 48th. Just five seconds later, his classmate, David Campisano, crossed the tape to finish 50th.

Freshman Ruben Torres' time of 36:40 was good for 81st, while sophomore Michael Rotchford was next off the 8k course, finishing in 42:34 to come in 84th.

Junior Matthew Garrison was the final Suffolk runner to cross the finish line, crossing in at 59:29.

The Rams return to action Saturday, Sept. 17 when they compete at the Raiders Invitational.
