Cross-Country Runs at Pop Crowell

Wenham, MA - The Suffolk University Cross-Country team compete at the POP Crowell Invitational hosted by Gordon College this past Friday afternoon. Suffolk's Men's Cross-Country team placed 22nd in the event. Freshman John Blazo (Pembroke, MA) was Suffolk's top runner finishing in 73rd place with a time of 30:14. Freshman Matthew Bly (Boca Raton, FL) finished the race in 32:38, while freshman Andrew McDonald (Sandwich, MA) finished with a time of 36:32, freshman Clayton Fleener (Indianapolis, IN) finished in  37:04 and sophomore Corey Allen (Marietta, GA) finished the race with a time of 41:27. Suffolk's Men finished with a total of 589 points. Gordon won the men's race finishing with a team total of 62 points, while Greg Redfield of Johnson & Wales University was the top individual runner with a time of 26:31.

Suffolk's Women's Cross-Country team also competed. Freshman Emily Farr (Ithaca, NY) was the Rams' top finisher with a time of 24:20, while sophomore Megan Scully (North Kingstown, RI)was right behind her with a time of 24:25. Freshman Beatrice Bianchi-Fasa (Rome, Italy) also completed the race for the Rams with a time of 25:17.

Suffolk will be back running next weekend as they travel to Westfield State College on Friday.
