Wenham, MA -- The Suffolk University Men's Cross-Country team placed third in the Gordon College Invitational on a rainy Saturday afternoon with 76 total team points. Freshman John Blazo (Pembroke, MA) was once again the top finisher on the men's side as he completed the 8K in 30:03 for a ninth place finish. The Rams had two other runners finish in the top twenty, sophomore Justin Mark (Dartmouth, MA) completed the race in 32:02 for a 16th place finish, while freshman Matthew Bly (Boca Raton, FL) rounded out the top twenty coming in at 32:41. Freshman Andrew MacDonald (Sandwich, MA) -33:57, and freshman Clayton Fleener (Indianapolis, IN) - 36:21, also ran for the Rams. Gordon's Josh Porizky had the best individual time finishing the race at 27:35, while the hosts finished with the best team total of 18 points.

For the women, freshman Emily Farr (Ithaca, NY) was the Rams' best runner once again she she finished the women's 5K in 23:21 for a 22nd placement. Sophomore Megan Scully (North Kingstown, RI) finished the race at 25:03 for a 27th place finish, while freshman Christina Webster (Wallingford, CT) finished at 36:00. Gordon's Allison Lynch had the best individual time coming in at 19:44, while Gordon's women had the best team total at 25.

Suffolk will be back running next week as the compete in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships.
