Men Place Second at Daniel Webster

Nashua, NH -- The Suffolk University Men's Cross-Country team placed second at the Daniel Webster Invitational on Friday afternoon with a team total of 59 points. The Rams had two runners finish in the top 10. Freshman John Blazo (Pembroke, MA) finished the race in fifth place, finishing in a time of 31:47. Sophomore Justin Mark (Dartmouth, MA) placed eighth finishing at 33:03. Freshman Matthew Bly (Boca Raton, FL) placed eleventh at 34:27, freshman Timothy Webber (Littleton, MA) came in at 35:18, and junior Brian Harrington (Hooksett, NH) finished at 38:22. Mitchell College won the invitational with a combined team total of 46 points. Mitchell's John Huffman finished with the best individual time at 29:41.

Suffolk's Women's team also ran, but did not have enough runners finish the race to qualify for team standing. Freshman Emily Farr (Ithaca, NY) was the Rams' best-runner for the second consecutive week as she finished her race at an even 26 minutes for the 14th best individual time. Freshman Christina Webster (Wallingford, CT) was the only other Suffolk runner to finish the race as she finished 43rd with a time of 41:12.

Suffolk will be back in action next Friday as the travel back to Nashua for the Rivier College Invitational.
