FITCHBURG, Mass. – Suffolk men's outdoor track had four Rams rewrite personal records at the Jim Sheehan Invite at Fitchburg State Saturday.
RAMS RECORDS
- Ioan Pereira produced a personal-best in the 100 of 11.19.
- Brendan Eddy secured a PR in the 400 of 56.34.
- Michael Najarian logged a career-high in the 1500 of 4:48.84.
- Elijah Brown tossed his way to a personal record of 42.98 in the hammer throw.
RAMS RUNNERS
- Pereira finished fifth in the 100 behind a time of 11.19. Eddy sprinted (12.48) in the event as well.
- Cormac O'Brien mad a half lap around the track in 27.04, good for 33rd.
- Pereira paced the four Rams in the 400 with a 55.82 to take 17th. Eddy was three spots behind with a time of 56.34. Matthew McGoldrik (59.45) and O'Brien (59.82) finished one after another in 24th and 25th, respectively.
- Connor Hayward clocked a 2:15.95 in the 800 to take 10th. McGoldrick (2:24.08) took 16th and Najarian (2:24.21) notched 17th.
- Jaden Wenceslao (4:22.88) sealed up fifth in the 1500 and Hayward (4:25.68) was right behind him in sixth. Najarian's time of 4:48.84 was good for 17th.
- Wencelsao placed sixth in the 5000 with a 16:09.17 showing.
THROWERS THOUGHTS
- Elijah Brown's personal-best 42.98-meter heave in the hammer throw was good for fifth. Nico Carrillo (24.00) and Connor Brown (23.46) claimed 11th and 13th, respectively.
- Edward Abouzeid heaved the javelin 44.79 meters to take sixth. Carrillo collected 17th with a 32.80-meter effort.
- Connor Brown claimed 19th in the shot put with a 9.19-meter heave.
JUMPERS JIST
- Michael Frodelius finished 14th in the long jump behind a 5.60-meter leap.
- Joshua Catino secured second in the pole vault as he cleared 3.40.

Suffolk is set to take its talents to the Silfen Invitational next weekend, April 11-12.
