Men’s Indoor Track & Field Sees Three PRs at Gordon Kelly Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Three members of Suffolk's men's indoor track & field set personal record at MIT's Gordon Kelly Invitational Saturday at MIT's Johnson Athletic Center Track. 

RAMS RECORDS

RAMS RUNNERS

  • Michael Nossek paced Suffolk's quartet in the 60 with a fourth-place finish behind a time of 6.95. Ioan Pereira (7.63), Brendan Eddy (7.86) and Hosman (7.93) sprinted the event as well. 
  • Nossek was the runner-up in the 200 with a time of 23.08. Eddy (26.12) and Cormac O'Brien (26.75) made a half lap around the track as well. 
  • Pereira (56.20) and O'Brien (1:00.43) both ran the 400. 
  • Suffolk had five student-athletes compete in the 800 in Sean Jacobsen (2:07.22), Declan Shannon (2:10.75), Connor Hayward (2:13.99), Matthew McGoldrick and Najarian (2:19.78).
  • Connor Hayward clocked a 4:46.17 in the mile.
  • Hayden Green was the runner-up in the 5000 with a time of 16:01.84. 
  • Hosman hurdled to fifth-place in the 60 with a finals time of 8.92. 

JUMPERS JIST

  • Frodelius registered a 10th-place effort in the triple jump with a 11.54-meter showing. 
  • Michael Makiej claimed fifth in the high jump after clearing 1.95 meters. 
  • Nathan Fernandes (5.68) and Frodelius (5.48) both participated in the long jump. 

THROWERS THOUGHTS

  • Connor Brown competed in the shot put with a 9.29-meter heave. 
  • Elijah Brown threw the weight throw 10.27 meters.

Suffolk is set to compete at the USATF New England Indoor Track & Field Championship Sunday, Feb. 23 at the Gordon Indoor Track at Harvard.
