BOSTON – One member of Suffolk's men's indoor track & field team punched his ticket to regionals as the Rams raced at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational Friday.  

RAMS RECORDS & QUALIFIER

• Thomas Novy earned his spot at NCAA Division III New Englands in the 5,000 as the senior raced to a program-best of 14:35.48 in the long-distance event. 

RAMS RUNNERS

• Novy's time of 14:35.58 in the 5k was good for 178. 
• Nathan Ferandnes (200 – 23.34, 400 – 52.03) and Joshua Durand (200 – 24.32, 400 – 52.76) both competed in the 200 and 400. 
• Kely Maloney made two laps around the track in the 800 in 2:00.96. 
• Tighe Hosman hurdled the 60 in 9.05.

Suffolk turns its attention to the USATF New England Indoor Track & Field Championship that is on tap for next Sunday, Feb. 23 at Harvard.
