Seven from Men’s Indoor Track & Field Set PRs at Suffolk Relays

BOSTON – Suffolk men's indoor track & field had seven student-athletes produce personal records at the Suffolk Relays, the Rams' largest hosted event in program history, Saturday at the Track at New Balance.  

RAMS RECORDS

  • Michael Nossek rewrote his personal records in the 60 (7.12) and 200 (23.21). 
  • Joshua Durand compiled a career-high of 7.51 in the 60. 
  • Ioan Pereira notched a personal-best of 24.11 in the 200. 
  • Patrick Lambe produced a personal record in the 800 of 2:07.74. 
  • Nossek, Pereira, Joshua Durand and Tim Barry combined for a program-record in the Sprint Medley Relay. 
  • Michael Makiej matched a PR of 1.85 in the high jump.
  • Connor Brown produced a career-high toss of 8.94 in the shot put. 

RAMS RELAYS

  • Nosske, Pereiria, Durrand and Barry won the Sprint Medley Relay with a 3:34.84.  

RAMS RUNNERS

  • Suffolk had seven Rams compete in the 98-runner 60-meter dash in Nossek (7.12), Durand (7.51), Ioan Pereira (7.63), Brendan Eddy (7.86), Tighe Hosman (7.91) and Cormac O'Brien (7.92).
  • Seven runners wore blue-and-gold in the 200 in Nossekk (23.21), Nathan Fernandes (23.88), Pereira (24.11), Hosman (25.12), Michael Forodelius (25.25), Eddy (25.66) and O'Brien (26.07). 
  • Durand (53.00), Fernandes (53.60) and Nico Carrillo (57.82) all made one lap around the track in the 400. 
  • Lambe logged a 2:07.74 in the 800, while Jadan Wenceslao made the two laps around the track in 2:10.17. 
  • Hosman had a 9.13 in the 60 hurdles and Carrillo clocked a 9.38 in the 60 hurdles.  

JUMPERS JIST

  • Makiej cleared 1.85 in the high jump. 
  • Fernandes (5.73), Frodelius (5.57) and Carrillo (4.65) all leapt in the long jump.  

THROWERS THOUGHTS

  • Brown registered an 8.94-meter heave in the shot put. 

YOU'RE NEW HERE

  • Fernandes made his collegiate debut in the 200, 400, and long jump. 
  • Carrillo competed in the 400 and 60 hurdles for the first time in his collegiate career. 
  • Frodelius participated in the long jump for the first time.
