BRUNSWICK, Maine – Suffolk men's indoor track & field headed up to Vacation Land Saturday for thte Lynn Ruddy Invite at Bowdoin.
NEW ENGLAND QUALIFIER
- Thomas Novy highlighted the Rams runners at Bowdoin as the junior sealed his spot at NCAA Division III New Englands in the 3000 with a time of 8:42.03.
RAMS RECORDS
- Cam Fredette notched a career-high in the 3000 (9:04.80).
RAMS RUNNERS
- Novy won the 3000 with a New England qualifying time of 8:43.03. Fredette finished in the middle of the 10-runner field in 9:04.80 with Jacob Dubin's 9:23.94 showing good for seventh.
- The trio of Andrew Tansil (7.79), Michael Frodelius (7.86) and Mateus Queiroz (8.13) dashed the 60.
- Tansil took fifth in the 200 with a time of 24.94.
- Selvin Backert was the 600 runner-up as the senior finished the event in 1:28.44.
- Evan Wrigth (2:01.09) and Kely Maloney (2:03.25) took fourth and sixth, respectively, in the 800.
- The mile featured Jadan Wenceslao (4:38.37), Sean Jacobsen (4:41.81), Connor Hayward (4:44.07), Conor Garrity (4:46.60), Michael Najarian (5:27.17) and Thomas Fidrocki (5:44.56).
- Hayden Green claimed fourth in the 5000 with a time of 16:23.26.
JUMPERS JIST
- Brady Sorensen leapt to second in the long jump with a 6.65-meter performance.
- Michael Frodelius competed in the long jump (5.54m) as well.
- Gavin Reid finished in the triple jump with a 11.21-meter leap.
