BOSTON – Suffolk men's and women's indoor track & field is scheduled to get its season underway at the Suffolk Relays Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Track at New Balance. It is the second straight season and second time in the program's history that the Rams will lift the lid on their indoor campaign as host. Throwing events are scheduled to start at 9 a.m. with track and jumping events set to follow at 10 a.m.

THE FIELD
Nearly three dozen teams are set to hit the Track at New Balance Saturday. There will be representatives from every NCAA Division present. Suffolk's familiar Commonwealth Coast Conference foes Endicott, Gordon, Hartford, and Wentworth are mixed in the field as well.
COACH'S QUOTE
"We're very excited to host the second annual Suffolk Relays, and this year's event is almost double the size of last year," head coach Will Feldman said. "We have 1,160 athletes registered representing all three collegiate divisions along with post collegiate athletes."
Feldman continued, "Every event is loaded with very competitive fields, and we're expecting to see some big early season performances at New Balance Saturday."
RAMS TO RECOGNIZE [ MEN ]
- Senior hurdler Carter Nevulis will look to qualify for NCAA Division III New England's.
- Junior captain Joshua Durand will be racing the 200.
- Freshman pole vaulter Owen Campbell is the Ram to keep an eye on on Saturday as he looks ot break the Suffolk record.
SUFFOLK STANDOUTS [ WOMEN ]
- Ellie Davis will be racing the 5K and attempting to breaking the Rams record.
- Familiar faces Emily Concepcion, Amanda Walden, and Alyssa Rodriguez will be looking to make strong season debuts in the sprinting events.
- Freshmen sprinters JJ Conteh Samantha Dauria, Sofia Barboza-Lind and Hilma Ortega will all be making their collegiate debuts and will push the upperclassmen all season.
- First-year Evelyn Lansing will be long jumping and high jumping with potential to break the Rams record in the latter.
- Kara Sickle and Molly Hennegan will be leading the way in the pole vault and will be joined by freshmen Sasha Helfgott-Waters and Devyn Battistoni. Each one has a chance to claim the Rams record, which, according to coach Feldman, "has a chance to change hands several times this season."
- Captain Gracie O'Connell, freshman Sharaden Caldwell will be tested in the weight throw.
- Maddie Moore and Divinety Johnson are set to make their debuts in the shot put.

The Rams return to the Track at New Balance next Saturday, Dec. 10 to wrap up first semester at the Beacon Invitational.
