NEW ORLEANS – For the second straight season, Suffolk men's track & field was acknowledged for its academics as the Rams' garnered All-Academic Team Honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the national organization announced Thursday afternoon.
With a non-traditional season, the criteria for qualification to achieve the accolade included a cumulative team grade point average of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester/quarter with no athletic requirement necessary.
Will Feldman's Rams combined for a 3.452 cumulative GPA, which was the 36th best of the 160 different programs honored. On the league scale, the Rams were the one Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) team on the national list for the second time in as many years.
