MEDFORD, Mass. – Matyas Csiki-Fejer represented Suffolk men's indoor track & field by competing in the 3K at a Last Chance National Qualifier held at Tufts Gantcher Indoor Field House on Friday afternoon. 

The sophomore competed in the 3000 in a field of 16 runners coming from schools across the country including Bates, Trinity, Johns Hopkins, Lynchburg, Tufts, Williams, Colby, Conn, Otterbein, Christopher Newport, and RPI. Just to qualify for the meet, the St. Louis, Missouri native had to have a seed time of at least 8:40.00, which is significantly faster than the Division III regional qualification time.  

At the meet, Csiki-Fejer clocked a 8:36.62 time for a top-10 finish, sliding into eighth place.  

Csiki-Fejer will now wait for the announcement of the 3000 field that will compete at Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday afternoon, the championships will take place on March 13th in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
