Men’s Indoor Track & Field to Compete at New England Regionals this Weekend

 


BOSTON – Suffolk men's indoor track & field ships student-athletes to Springfield, Massachusetts, for the New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend. The eight Rams will compete over four events over the two days.

LAST TIME OUT
A small contingent of Suffolk indoor track & field student athletes participated at the USATF New England Indoor Championships at Harvard University's Gordon Indoor Track over the weekend.

RAMS AT REGIONALS

  • Suffolk sends most student-athletes to the regional stage in program history with eight different athletes competing over four different events.
  • The Rams will participate at regionals for the second time in as many years and in program history.
  • Matyas Csiki-Fejer heads to regionals for the second time in his career.
  • Connor Abbotoni, Connor Baston, Cole Bolduc, Robert Solari, Joshua Smith and Hunter Toyoda will all compete at regionals for the first time in their indoor careers.

SUFFOLK'S SCHEDULE

Friday, Feb. 28
5:30 PM – Distance Medley Relay - Hunter Toyoda, Robert Solari, Cole Bolduc, Matyas Csiki-Fejer

Saturday, Feb. 29
10:30 AM – Weight Throw – Michael Balestra
1:50 PM – 3K – Matyas Csiki-Fejer

RAMS RECOGNITION
Suffolk's student athletes have a chance to make history in Springfield as the first-ever male indoor track & field student-athlete to achieve all-region status. The top 8 finishers in each event will take home an all-region accolade from the New England Coaches Association.

WHAT'S AHEAD?
Rams have one more go at sealing their spot at nationals at the Last Chance National Qualifier at Tufts next Saturday, March 7.
