Suffolk women's indoor track & field saw two student-athletes qualify for New Englands at Tufts' Branwen Smith-King Invitational Saturday at Gantcher Field House.

THE FIELD
Suffolk will be joined in the Granite State by a baker's dozen opponents including the hosts Plymouth State. Of the 14 teams set to compete, the Rams will see four of its GNAC counterparts in Colby Sawyer, Emmanuel, Regis and Saint Joseph's (Maine).
THAT'S A FIRST
A trio of Rams will be making their debuts in an event this weekend. Two will be competing in the long jump for the first time in their collegiate careers in Connor Baston and Nicole DiBenedetto, while Mariama Kamara will be making a half lap around the track in the 200 for the first time this indoor season.
RELAYING RAMS
Suffolk will have two relay squads compete at Plymouth with the foursome of Connor Abbotoni, Joshua Smith, Cole Bolduc and Robert Solari looking to punch their tickets to New Englands.
FIELD FACTS
Suffolk's field athlete contingent will be on the smaller side Saturday. The women will be represented by Allison Rodrigues in the shot put and weight throw, while Michael Balestra, Frank Irizarry and Matt Sambucetti will compete for the Rams' men.
GNAC WEEKLY AWARDS SWEEP
Suffolk indoor track & field swept all six weekly awards presented by the GNAC with both teams topping each of the three categories after their effort at Tufts' Branwen Smith-King Invitational Saturday, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Emily Manfra and Allison Rodrigues garnered track and field athlete of the week, respectively, with Savannah Goddeeris taking home rookie of the week status for the women. On the men's side, Matyas Csiki-Fejer was named track athlete of the week, Michael Balestra earned field athlete of the week and Connor Baston repeated as rookie of the week.

Suffolk has one final meet to prep for the inaugural GNAC Championships, Boston University's David Henry Valentine Invitational Saturday, Feb. 15 with the conference championships set to take place the following day, Sunday, Feb. 16 at BU.
