BOSTON – Suffolk men's tennis starts its final week of the 2025 regular season Tuesday, April 15 when it welcomes Gordon for a 7:00 p.m. Conference of New England (CNE) contest.

Suffolk men's tennis was stumped by Nichols, 7-0, in Conference of New England (CNE) action Thursday afternoon at the Robinson Tennis Courts.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk is 0-9 on the year and 0-6 in CNE action.  

Mehdi Mered has played all, but one match as the Rams' ace. He sports a 1-7 record. Henry Blanchard (1-8), Sein Kim (1-8) and Abhi Patel (1-6) have all found the singles win column once this season as well.

The blue-and-gold has been unable to grab a doubles win this year. Mered and Patel have played the most as the top tandem (0-4).  

FIGHTING SCOTS FACTS
Gordon brings in a 7-7 overall record and 3-3 CNE ledger into Tuesday's tilt after slipping to Roger Williams, 4-3, Saturday.  

Jeffrey Bodner has it he usual ace for the Fighting Scots. He holds a 4-8 singles record. Lucas Barnes, meanwhile is 10-2 in singles action with time at No. 3 (1-0), No. 4 (6-1) and No. 5 (3-1).  

Bodner is a usual piece in the top partnership in doubles play along with Joshua Noel. That twosome is 6-4. Gabriel Guzman and Vittal Harith is 5-5 in doubles action with nine matches (4-5) in the second spot and one on the first court (1-0). 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk is 4-6 against Gordon since 2003. 
  • The Rams have fallen in five straight matches with the Fighting Scots including last season's 8-1 setback April 5, 2024. 
  • The blue-and-gold is in the hunt for its first win over Gordon since a 6-3 triumph March 29, 2007.
