BOSTON – Suffolk men's tennis has back-to-back Conference of New England (CNE) battles in store with trips to Roger Williams and Nichols on the docket Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 10, respectively.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's tennis drooped a 7-0 Conference of New England (CNE) decision to Saint Joseph (Conn.) Tuesday night at Belmont Hill.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk is 0-7 on the year and 0-4 in CNE contests.  

The Rams have secured four points this year, all in singles play. The blue-and-gold's ace Mehdi Mered (1-5) is one of four players with a singles win along with Henry Blanchard and Sein Kim, who are both 1-6, and Abhi Patel (1-5). Patel has played on the top three courts. Kim has seen time on courts two through five, while Blanchard has competed on the lower half of the ladder.  

Mered and Patel have spent the most time as the top tandem. That duo has played three matches on the first doubles court.  

HAVE TO KNOW 'BOUT THE HAWKS
Roger Williams has strung together 13 straight victories to hold a 13-1 overall record and 4-0 CNE mark. The Hawks last and only loss this year came Sept. 14 versus Clark, 5-2.  

Bronson DeSisto has played the bulk of the time as the Hawks ace and holds a 7-5 singles record. Tucker Taylor has an 11-1 singles ledger. He has spent the most of his time on court four (9-1) and has played a single outing in the second and third spot, respectively.  

Ryan Carroll and DeSito have partnered as the top team for a 10-2 record, while Rodriguez Alcocer and Tucker have also been successful with a 9-2 record all as the third tandem.

INSIDE THE SERIES

• The Suffolk, Roger Williams series began in 2022. 
• The Rams are 0-3 all-time against the Hawks. 
• Every meeting between Suffolk and RWU have been decided via 9-0 decisions.  

BISON BREAKDOWN
Nichols has won three matches in a row to remain unbeaten in CNE action, 3-0 and move to 4-9 overall. Prior to facing Suffolk Thursday, the Bison will battle Wentworth Wednesday.  

Nichol has used four different players on the first singles court with Richard Hartmann Luzio (3-4) and Leon Zeis (1-4) seeing the most time as the Bison's ace. 

In doubles action, five different pairs have combined forces for the top doubles team. Hartmann Luzio and Caio Dieckmann are the usual suspects to take the top court, while Zeis and Felipe Gonzalez have compiled an unblemished 2-0 mark as the No. 1 doubles team.

INSIDE THE SERIES

• Suffolk trails the all-time series, which dates back to 1969, 4-13. 
• The Rams have fallen in eight straight matches against Nichols. 
• Suffolk aims for its first win over the Bison since a 7-2 decision April 29, 1995. 
• As the home team, the Rams are 2-4 against the Bison. 
• As the away team, Suffolk is 2-9 versus Nichols.
