BOSTON – Suffolk men's tennis returns to action this Sunday, March 24 when it faces Emerson in a Beantown battle at 3:00 p.m.

Suffolk men's tennis fell in its 2024 season debut to Rhode Island College, 7-2, Saturday afternoon at the RIC Tennis Center.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk is 0-1 on the year after falling to Rhode Island College, 7-2, in its season opener March 16.  

The Rams two points in the contest against the Anchormen came from its top two single rackets, Nicholas Komari and Mehdi Mered. Komari played as the blue-and-gold's ace, while Mered took Suffolk's second spot.  

Suffolk has yet to win a doubles point this season. 

LIONS LOOK
Emerson enters the weekend 3-6 on the year and will face Springfield Saturday before Sunday's match with Suffolk.  

Filippo Nocchi has been a staple on the top singles court for the Lions throughout the season. He is also a main ingredient every top tandems as he has joined forces with Lorenzo Almedia (2-3), Leo Ishizuka (1-3) and Pete Sevikul (0-1).

  • Suffolk and Emerson renew a rivalry, meeting for the first time since 2019.
