BOSTON – Suffolk men's tennis looks to get back into the grove of things Saturday, April 15 when it takes its talents to Wenham, Massachusetts, for an 11 a.m. Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) clash at Gordon.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's tennis fell in its non-league closer to Rhode Island College, 8-1, Thursday afternoon at the RIC Tennis Center.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has been on a six-match slump that has put the Rams at 1-7 on the season and 1-3 in league action.  

Ben Bricker and Juan Velasquez have each eclipsed the three-win singles mark. Bricker is 3-3 on the year with his time split between courts five (1-2) and six (2-1). Velasquez (3-5), meanwhile, has spent his time in the third (0-1), fourth (2-3) and fifth (1-1) spots.  

Hasan Esrawi, who has been Suffolk's ace in ever outing, has been an ingredient in Suffolk's top tandems as well. 

FIGHTING SCOTS FACTS
Gordon clipped Salve Regina Tuesday, 6-3, to move to 3-7 on the season and 1-3 in CCC contests.  

The Fighting Scots top singles racket held by Ezekiel Hall is unbeaten, 9-0. Mark Noschese, who has played at the second and third slot, is the second-winningest singles player at 4-6. Hall and Noschese partner up in doubles and have built a 5-4 record at court one.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk holds a 4-3 record against Gordon since 2003. 
  • The foes will meet for the first time since April 23, 2019. Gordon won that meeting, 7-2.
  • The Rams have fallen in back-to-back matches to the Fighting Scots. 
  • The blue-and-gold is in the hunt for its first win over Gordon since a 6-3 decision March 29, 2007.
