BOSTON – Suffolk men's tennis looks to get back on track Thursday, April 11  as the Rams visit Salem State for a 3:30 p.m. non-conference contest.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's tennis team stumbled in a conference road contest to Eastern Nazarene, 9-0, Saturday afternoon.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has dropped its last four outings to dip to 1-7 on the season and 0-3 against conference competition. 

Nick Vaillancourt has provided a spark for the Rams, collecting one win in his last two appearances in the second spot. 

In doubles, the duo of Vaillancourt and Davis Altimonte continue to hold down the second court. Through two appearances, the freshmen partnership brings in a 1-1 record to Tuesday's tilt and is looking to build upon its momentum. 

VIKINGS VIEWS 
Salem State takes a 2-4 record into Thursday's tilt with the Rams. The Vikings are coming off of a 6-3 loss to Suffolk's GNAC foe Johnson & Wales on April 9.

Andrew Muttiah has held down the top spot for the Vikings and comes into Thursday's match with a 2-2 record.

In doubles action, Muttiah has teamed up with Chen Chen as the top tandem. The pair owns a 1-1 record through two appearances.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Since 2010 Suffolk and Salem State have met nine times with the Vikings' leading the series 5-4.
  • The blue-and-gold last downed the Vikings, 6-3, on April 8, 2014.

Suffolk is back in action Tuesday, April 11 when it faces Lesley at North Reading High School at 7 p.m
