Men’s Tennis Concludes GNAC Regular Season at Norwich Saturday

BOSTON – The Suffolk men's tennis team takes its two-match win streak to Northfield, Vermont, Saturday, April 21 as the Rams wrap up the GNAC regular season at Norwich. First serve is set for 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's tennis team put back-to-back victories together for the first time this season as the Rams took down UMass Dartmouth, 8-1, Thursday night at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Thanks to its two straight victories, Suffolk improved to 5-6 on the season, however, the Rams are still on the hunt for their first league victory as the blue-and-gold is 0-2 in against conference competition. 

Ariel Ilarslan Russo, who has collected both rookie and player of the week honors from the GNAC, holds an undefeated singles record, 7-0, exclusively as the Rams' ace. He has teamed up on two different doubles partnerships this season and is the most successfully with Omar Azzaoui as the pair sits 2-1 at No. 1. 

Suffolk's most successful doubles team has been Rami Esrawi and Kevin Greenman, who hold a 7-2 record at No. 2 (3-2) and No. 3 (4-0).

CADETS CATCH UP
Norwich has fallen in its last two outings to dip to 4-3 on the season and similar to Suffolk looks for its first league win after being swept by Regis in its GNAC opener April 7. 

Dylan Ackerman has been every match as the Cadets top racquet and holds a 3-4 singles mark. Alexis Gilmore, Norwich's No. 2, has been the most successful singles player with a 6-1 record. 

In doubles, Ackerman and Gilmore have combined for the Cadets top tandem and sit 4-3 on the year.
