Men’s Tennis Visits Bridgewater State Thursday

BOSTON – In the midst of a three-match road swing, the Suffolk men's tennis team heads to Bridgewater State Thursday, April 5 for a non-conference match with the Bears.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's tennis team won its second straight outing Tuesday night as the Rams past Lesley, 8-1, at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols.

RAMS RUNDOWN
At 3-2 on the season, Suffolk is off to its best start since opening 2015 4-1. 

Three different racquets have played on the as the Rams' ace this season in Omar Azzaoui, Mike DeFelice and Ariel Ilarslan Russo. Each of Suffolk's top singles players are unbeaten with Ilarslan Russo's 3-0 record leading the way, while Azzaoui and DeFelice each sitting at 1-0 on court one. Overall, Azzaoui sports a 3-1 singles ledger, while DeFelice is 2-1 in singles action. 

In doubles, the team of Rami Esrawi and Kevin Greenman are undefeated thus far with a 4-0 record; 1-0 in the second slot and 3-0 on court three.

BEARS BREAKDOWN
Bridgewater State was swept in its season opener by UMass Boston to sit at 0-1 on the season. 

Justin Haley competed as the Bears ace in singles play and teamed up with Joshua Bean as the top tandem for BSU against the Beacons.

Suffolk wraps up its road swing Saturday, April 7 when it opens GNAC play at Johnson & Wales. First serve is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
