HOW IT HAPPENED
The Leopards grabbed an early 2-1 lead as the doubles courts were done in order with Wentworth earning the points at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively. The Rams' tandem of Kevin Greenman and Rami Esrawi got Suffolk on the board as the sophomore and junior downed Wentworth's Tristan Maus and Jarret North, 8-6, in the third slot.
As the match transitioned into singles play, Omar Azzaoui trimmed the Leopards edge to one point with a thrilling 6-4, 3-6, 13-11, super tiebreaker win over Jeff Tocco on court one.
Suffolk was unable to get any closer, however, as Wentworth grabbed a 4-2 advantage with triumphs in the second and fifth spots before using a golden match at No. 4 to clinch the win. With the match already sealed, the Leopards added another point with a win in the third position for the final 6-2 margin.
