Men’s Tennis Falls to Emerson 8-1

BOSTON – In its first road contest of 2017, the Suffolk men's tennis team fell to Emerson, 8-1, Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The doubles courts finished in order with the hosts Lions grabbing points on the first and second courts, respectively, before the Rams got on the scoreboard with a victory in the third spot. Suffolk could not rally a comeback, however, as Emerson swept singles action to claim the 8-1 non-conference victory. 

SUFFOLK STANDOUTS

  • The Rams' lone point came thanks to the tandem of Rami Esrawi and Kevin Greenman. The sophomore and freshman bested Samir Beria and Matt Jepsky in a super tiebreaker, 9-8 (7-2).

Suffolk remains on the road as it travels to Curry Monday, April 3 for a 3 p.m. match.
