Men’s Tennis Picked Third in GNAC North Division

BOSTON – In a vote by the league's head coaches, the Suffolk men's tennis was selected third in the GNAC North Division Preseason poll the conference announced Tuesday.

Johnson & Wales topped the division with 21 points and all seven first-place votes. Norwich was sandwiched between the Wildcats and Rams in second with 14, while the blue-and-gold's seven points rounded out the north.

In the south, the reigning GNAC Champion Rampo collected all seven first-place nods to secure 28 points. The Road Runners finished ahead of Rutgers Camden (19), Rutgers Newark (15) and Albertus Magnus (8).

Suffolk looks to make its return to the post-season tournament in 2017, after missing the tournament field last season with a 3-9 overall record and falling to both JWU and Norwich in the regular season. The Rams campaign gets underway Thursday, March 23 when they entertain Wentworth at 3:30 p.m.
