Three Rams Pick Up ITA Scholar-Athlete Status

2016 ITA ALL-ACDAEMIC TEAMS AND SCHOLAR ATHLETES

BOSTON – Three standout members of the Suffolk men's tennis team were recognized for excellence inside the classroom by the International Tennis Association (ITA) this week as Kevin Clavijio, Jacob Duggan and Vincent Le garnered Scholar Athlete distinction. 

To qualify as an ITA Scholar Athlete a student, who has been present at the current institution for at least two semesters, must earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 and earn varsity letterman status. 

Rising juniors Jacob Duggan_z3es">Kevin Clavijo and Vincent Leb Duggan and recent graduate Vincent Le earned the honor for the first time in their careers. The three Rams join three Wildcats of Johnson & Wales as the lone GNAC representatives on the team.  Across all divisions, over 700 teams and more than 4,200 student-athletes made the list. Over the 2015-16 academic year, the 210 student's that comprised Suffolk's athletic department posted a 3.2 GPA.
