Men's Tennis to Open 2011 GNAC Tournament

The Suffolk University Men's Tennis team will open the 2011 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Playoffs this Thursday evening. The Rams finished with the top seed in the five team league winning all four conference matches and finishing with a 10-1 overall record.

The Rams will be looking to capture their third consecutive GNAC title. Suffolk has been dominant through much of the season as they have won 56 of 66 singles matches and post a 19-4 team record in doubles play. Suffolk's only blemish on the season was a 6-3 loss at the hands of Babson College, who snapped the Rams 24-game win streak that dated back to 2009.

Suffolk will take on number four seed Johnson & Wales University. The Rams recently defeated the Wildcats 9-0 on this past Saturday.

Thursday's match will begin at 7:15pm at Buckingham, Browne and Nichols in Cambridge, MA.
