Men's Tennis Continue to Roll

The Suffolk University men's tennis team posted a 7-2 victory over host Bridgewater State University on Thursday afternoon at the Rosen Memorial Tennis Courts in Bridgewater.

The visiting Rams remain unbeaten on the season as they improve to 8-0, while the Bears slip to 4-3.

Suffolk captured five of the six singles matches with juniors Sean Cullen (Wells, Maine) and Chris Staley (London, England) winning in straight sets at the top two flights respectively.  Cullen and Staley also helped the Rams take two of three in doubles play as they teamed for an 8-5 triumph at first doubles.

Bridgewater was led by freshman Cody Farrell (Scituate, Mass.) who won in straight sets at fifth singles, 6-2, 6-4, and paired with senior Nicholas Amrose (Arlington, Mass.) for an 8-6 victory at second doubles.

The Bears return to the court on Friday afternoon as they travel to Rhode Island College for a 3:30 Little East Conference match with the Anchormen.  Suffolk will look to make it nine straight wins next Monday when the Rams visit non-conference foe Curry College.
