Men's Tennis Tops Wentworth, 8-1

The Suffolk University Men's Tennis team topped the Wentworth Institute of Technology Leopards, 8-1 on Thursday evening.

Junior Chris Staley (London, England) moved to 2-0 on the season the second singles position for the Rams, 6-2, 6-0. Staley and junior Sean Cullen (Wells, Me.) partnered in the top doubles match 8-3.

Sophomore Harlan Strader (Marblehead, Mass.) earned his first win of the year as he was a winner in the third singles position, 7-5, 6-2. Strader also was a winner in the third doubles match along with Albert Beruga,8-3.

Senior John Samander (Curacao, Netherlands) and freshman Hubert Cromback (Paris, France) partnered for their second win of the season in the second doubles position as they were 8-0 winners. Samander was victorious in the fourth singles spot for the Rams, while Cromback picked up a win in the number five spot.

Senior Justin Ayoub (Brooklyn, N.Y.) picked up Suffolk's eighth win of the day as he won his match in the number six singles spot, 7-5, 6-2.

The Rams will be back in action on Saturday as they take on Emerson College.
