Title: Men's Soccer's Goalkeeper Coach

Jarrod Smith joined Suffolk men's soccer as a goalkeeper coach prior to the start of the 2022 season. 

In addition to his responsibilities with the Rams, Smith will be working as an assistant coach of Wellesley's women's soccer team. He was promoted to the assistant coaching role in 2022 after joining the BLue as the goalkeeper coach before the 2019 campaign. 

His coaching resume also includes a stint with Soccerplus Camps where he taught the fundamentals of goalkeeping and developing training schedules for multiple age groups and work with various teams for Seacoast United Bedford/GPS New Hampshire.

Smith was a two-sport athlete at Newbury College, lettering in men's soccer and track & field. On the pitch, he made 52 appearances in goal, recorded eight shutouts and made 265 career saves. In track & field, he competed in sprints and jumps and was an active member of Newbury's 4x400 relay team at the 2019 Division III New England Outdoor Track & Field Championships. 

Smith, a 2019 graduate of Newbury with a degree in Sport Management, not only was a student-athlete at Newbury, but he also served as the manager of the women's basketball team and belonged to the Student Government Association (SGA).
