NEWTON, Mass. – Suffolk men's soccer may have got on the board against the Eagles for the first time in program history, but it would not be enough to take down NCAA Division I Boston College as the Rams fell in the Beantown battle, 5-1, Monday night at the Newton Soccer Complex.

RECORDS: Suffolk (6-5-3) | Boston College (4-4-5)
HOW IT HAPPENED
Danny Istambouli put home his first career goal to put Boston College on the board in the second minute. Off a deep throw in by Marc Boye, Ask Ekeland back kicked to Isatambouli, who was in the right place at the right time to give the Eagles the edge early.
Suffolk leveled the playing field in the 19th minute. Tommy Handelsman made a deep throw in towards the front of BC's net. The Eagles defense deflected it and Edward Abouzeid picked it up, found a lane and put it past Tomas Jordan to even things at 1-1.
A hand ball in the box with 8:41 left before half time, Leo Guarino converted a penalty kick to the go-ahead goal.
The Eagles got another PK chance with 27 seconds on the clock as the Rams were whistled for their second foul in the box. Mateu Farre-Torres guessed the right way, but the ball was just out of the sophomore's reach and Boston College took a 3-1 lead into halftime.
The host added a pair of goals in the second stanza to extend the margin to 5-1, which remained at the final buzzer as the Rams were limited to just a pair of shots, neither on target.
