Men’s Soccer Receives Votes in United Soccer Coaches National Poll, Again

UNITED SOCCER COACHES TOP 25 | UNITED SOCCER COACHES REGION II RANKINGS

BOSTON – For the second straight week, Suffolk men's soccer picked up votes in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll, the national organization announced. Additionally, the Rams remained second in Region II.

The blue-and-gold has been a staple in the regional rankings since making the program's debut in the fourth spot of Poll 1, Sept. 12. Since then, Suffolk has climbed its way to second, where it has appeared the last two weeks.

Nationally, the Rams received votes for the first time in program history last week and continue to pick up nods this week.

The Rams hold a 7-3-2 overall mark and are unbeaten against Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) counterparts, 2-0-1.

Suffolk has poured in 24 goals this season and has limited its foes to just nine markers. That goal differential is the second-best in the region. Conference wise, the Rams scoring margin (0.92), goals per game (2.00), and total goals (24) all top the league. Individually, sophomore Diego Pierantozzi's six goals are good for a share of second with his conference counterparts.

The Rams aim to bounce back into the win column at Western New England this afternoon after falling to Boston College, 2-0, Oct. 2, and tying Nichols, 1-1, Oct. 7.
