BOSTON – Suffolk men's soccer opens a week on the road at Wentworth Tuesday, Oct. 11. The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action is set to begin at 7 p.m.

Suffolk men's soccer recorded its sixth shutout of the season in a 4-0 Commonwealth Coast Conference win against the University of New England as the Rams celebrated their four graduating seniors Saturday afternoon at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

SUFFOLK SCORES

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk carries a 7-4-2 overall and 2-1-1 CCC record into Tuesday's tilt. 

The Rams 23 goals are scattered over 13 boots with Carter Van Buskirk's four leading the way. The freshman also sports a team-best in points with 11 and he shares the squad-high assists with three along with Taj Jensen and Miguel Varela, who have three handouts to their credit as well. Jensen has found the back of the net twice as well to have seven points along with Brady Sorensen, who has three goals and one helper on his seven-point stat line.

Xander Balog has played all 13 this season. He sports a 1.23 GAA and .758 save percentage with six shutouts.

LEOPARDS LOOKS
After falling to Roger Williams, 2-1, Saturday, Wentworth sits 3-6-3 on the year and 1-2-21 in CCC.

Raphael Ribeiro paces the 11-goal offense with two goals and five assists. TJ Prouty has supplied three goals and one helper to his credit. Jacob Dukeshire has scored multiple times as well with a pair of strikes.

Louis Quintero has seen the most time in net for WIT. He holds a 1.00 GAA and .865 save percentage in his seven starts. Giovanni Ruggieri boasts a 1.00 GAA and .833 save percentage in his three appearances.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk trails Wentworth in the all-time series that dates back to 1989, 4-7-2.
  • The Rams to look to snap a four-game skid against the Leopards.
  • The two teams last met a year ago in the CCC playoffs, where WIT shutout Suffolk, 2-, Oct. 28, 2021.
  • All four of Suffolk's wins came consecutively from 1994-97.
  • Suffolk is 2-3-1 versus Wentworth when serving the home team and 2-4-1 when playing the Leopards as the away team.
