BOSTON – Riding the momentum of its 1-0 victory of Norwich, its first in seven years, Suffolk men's soccer looks to keep the winning ways going as it turns its attention to the reigning GNAC Champion Saint Joseph's (Maine) who stops by James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park Saturday, Sept. 28. The conference matinee is set for a 12 p.m. first kick.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's soccer put together an exhilarating 1-0 victory over Norwich Wednesday night at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
After its first GNAC win on Wednesday, Suffolk moved 1-2-0 against conference competition and 2-3-1 overall. Both of the blue-and-gold wins have come in front Ram Nation on the friendly pitch at James A. Sartori Stadium in the form of 1-0 decisions.
Simon Velez Angel and Sunjoon Tenorio lead the Rams with three goals each, while Tucker Mee has found the back of the net once. Emilio Tenacio's boots have set up a team-best three goals.
Tom Bennett and Steven Lopez have split time in net for Suffolk with each goalie owning one win this year. Bennett boats a .741 save percentage to go along with a 1.66 GAA. Lopez, meanwhile, sports a cleansheet, with 15 saves, a .789 save percentage, and a 1.83 GAA.
MONK MENTIONABLES
Saint Joseph's come into Saturday's showdown without a defeat, sporting a 6-0-2 record and a GNAC slate of 1-0-1. The Monks head to Boston following a 2-0 shutout of Salem State.
Noah Robinson and Austin Ward share team high numbers in goals with four markers apiece. The pair has each handed out one assist as well to bring in nine total points apiece. Mitchell Duncan is also a consistent offensive contributor with three markers and two helpers. Cody Elliott, meanwhile, has a knack for setting up shots and sports a squad-high five handouts.
Defensively, the Maine outfit has not conceded a goal in its last outings. David Walbridge is a main ingredient to tat that stat. The netminder, who has faced 23 shots, has let just four rocks past him over eight appearances. Overall, he holds an impressive 0.50 GAA and a .826 save percentage.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- In a series that began in 2007, Suffolk trails, 4-10-1.
- The Monks have taken the last six meetings.
- Overall, eight games have been decided in shutout fashion with SJC owning eight of those victories including the last meeting a 5-0 setback for Suffolk in Vacation Land.
- Two outings needed extra time to determine a winner. The Monks took the last OT contest, a 1-0 win in 2015. The first-ever overtime outcome between the Rams and Monks ended in a 1-1 double OT tie Sept. 26, 2012.
