LAST TIME OUT
Neither team was able to find the back of the net as each goaltender played flawless in net for their respective teams and the first-ever meeting between Suffolk men's soccer and St. Joseph (Conn.) ended in a 0-0, double-overtime tie Saturday afternoon at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Entering its final week of September play, Suffolk sits seventh in the GNAC standings with a 2-2-1 league ledger and a 2-5-1 overall mark.

Leondardo Acosta and James Fisher provide a one-two offensive punch for the Rams. The former has a team-best eight points on three goals and two handouts. The latter, meanwhile, matches the freshman's goals with three of his own.

Tom Bennett has been a staple in net as of late for the blue-and-gold. The rookie brings in a .759 save percentage and a 2.03 goals-against average into Wednesday's afternoon match.

PRIDE PROWL
Regis has sandwiched two losses around a 1-all tie to Lasell that put the Pride 3-3-1 on the season and 1-3-1 in conference contests.

The Pride has put away just seven goals in seven games with Ken Niyonzima, Brendan Plasczynski and Derek Triana each scoring a pair. Cesar Da Silva has the remaining marker on his stat line, while Mitchell Boudreau, Fabyanno Furbino and Sal Madera account for Regis' three assists with one each.

Three different keepers have taken the field for Regis this season. Jesse Bonilla has seen the most action with six starts to his credit. The senior boasts a .636 save percentage and a 2.23 goals-against average. Ivan Ramirez has also seen significant time scattered over three games and the freshman holds a .875 save percentage and a 0.66 goals-against average.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk leads the all-time series, which began in 2011, 4-3.
  • The Rams fell to the Pride a year ago, 3-1.
  • Two meetings in the series needed extra time to decide a winner. Both contests went into double overtime. The Rams came out on top, 2-1, in 2014, while the Pride took the double OT tilt by an identical score in the first-ever meeting in 2011.
  • There has only been one shutout in the series, a 4-0 Regis win in 2015.
