BOSTON – The Suffolk men's soccer team will play in front of its home crowd for the first time in 2018 Monday, Sept. 3 as the Rams welcome Framingham State to East Boston Memorial Park's James A. Sartori Stadium. The non-conference clash will begin at 12 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk's late score was not enough as the men's soccer team could not complete the comeback and fell to Mass. Maritime, 2-1, in its season opener Saturday afternoon at Clean Harbors Stadium.

FRAMINGHAM STATE FACTS
The Rams shutout UMass Dartmouth, 2-0, in its season opener Friday, Aug. 31.  

Vinicius Veiga scored one goal and set-up the other strike for FSU, which was scored by Bryce Nardizzi.  

Framingham State used two different pairs of gloves in net with start Danny Andrade earning the victory behind a two-save effort. Jacob Castor, meanwhile, made one stop in the second stanza.  

INSIDE THE SERIES
Suffolk and Framingham State will meet over Labor Day weekend for the second straight weekend. FSU has taken down the blue-and-gold Rams in two straight meetings including a 3-2 result last season. Overall, Suffolk leads the series 3-2-1.

Suffolk's Labor Day contest with the Rams of Framingham State begins a hectic week for the blue-and-gold as it will play three games over six days. Following Monday's matinee, Suffolk is set to head to the Granite State for a  midweek match at Plymouth State Wednesday, Sept. 5.
