
BOSTON – Two members of the 2015 Suffolk men's soccer team have received All-GNAC honors, the conference office announced Monday. Ben Daniels represented the Rams on the All-GNAC third team, while his Alex Ypsilantis was named to the league's All-Sportsmanship Team.
Daniels, the cornerstone of the Rams defensive unit, started all but one game in his junior season. The co-captain helped Suffolk to its second straight and eighth trip in new years to the GNAC postseason tournament.
For his dedication, positive attitude and effort, Ypsilantis was tabbed to the sportsmanship team. The all-sportsmanship team was established to honor one player from each team in the conference outstanding dedication to sportsmanship and for their portrayal of good sportsmanship, fair play and a positive attitude.
Suffolk wrapped up the 2015 season with an overall record of 2-15-1, posting a 2-6-1 mark in the GNAC. The Rams earned the eighth seed in the GNAC tournament, before falling to the regular season champion and top seed Johnson & Wales.
