PAXTON, Mass. – Thanks to a trio of second-half goals from the AMCATS, the Suffolk men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to Anna Maria Saturday afternoon at AMCAT Field.
Tkhen To snapped a 371 minute scoreless streak as the freshman put the Rams (0-9-1, 0-3-1 GNAC) on the scoreboard first in the 12th minute of action. Suffolk maintained the edge until the 38th minute when the AMCATS evened the playing field on a good penalty kick by Christopher Mattiolli.
Out of halftime, Anna Maria took control off back-to-back scores. James Bowhile scored his first collegiate goal on an open breakaway two minutes before he found Matttoli to put the AMCATS out in front, 3-1.
Cashios Okeyere added an insurance goal for the AMCATS in the 83rd minute.
Anna Maria held an 18-10 edge in shots, while Suffolk dominate corner kicks, 5-0.
The Rams have one day off before returning to the pitch at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park for a 6:45 p.m. game against Emerson.
