Men's Soccer Top Regis, 2-1

The Suffolk University Men's Soccer team defeated the Regis College Pride, 2-1 in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

Senior Andres Cohen (Caracas, Venezuela) scored the game-winner in the contest's sixty-second minute for the Rams' third win of the season.

Cohen netted his team leading sixth goal of the season on a header that was setup by sophomore Alberto Benhamu (Caracas, Venezuela).

Suffolk got on the board first as they scored the lone goal of the opening half when junior Djibril Niag (Dakar, Senegal) knocked in a rebound off of a blocked shot for the game's first strike at the thirty-eight minute mark.

Regis would answer with their lone tally of the day as Dan Gomez netted his second goal of 2013 converting a pass in front of the net from Ricardo Arguetta to even things up at one apiece.

Sophomore Nicholas Chamma (Rio de Janero, Brazil) needed to make just three saves in goal for the victory for Suffolk.

The Rams will be back in action on Saturday afternoon as they travel to Johnson & Wales University for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matchup at 1:00pm with the Wildcats.
