Sophomore Tyler Parmalee (Colchester, Conn.) scored the game's lone goal in the tenth minute as the Suffolk University Men's Soccer team topped the Lesley University Lynx, 1-0 in non-conference action on Monday afternoon.

Parmalee grabbed a loose ball takeaway and boomed a shot from 25 yards out for his second goal of the season to push the Rams to a 4-3 overall record on the year. With the loss Lesley now falls to a 2-2-2 overall mark.

Suffolk held the offensive advantage in the contest for the majority of the game outshooting the Lynx by a 17-9 margin through the ninety minutes of action.

The Rams had three other golden opportunities to score as they hit the post each time coming away with nothing to show for it.

Sophomore Djibril Niang (Dakar, Senegal) nearly missed a goal three minutes into the second half as his shot rang off the left crossbar, while junior Christian Gnonlonfoun (Porto-Novo, Benin) had a chance to put the game away with four minutes left in regulation, but came up just short with his ears ringing as the shot from ten yards out hit the white goal marker as well.

Freshman Nicholas Chamma (Rio de Janero, Brazil) was solid in net again for the Rams posting his second shutout of the season as he needed to make just five saves for his fourth win in goal for Suffolk.

Lesley had perhaps their best offensive opportunity to score in the game's thirty-sixth minute as senior Ari Sinanis (Guilford, Conn.) made a brilliant scissor kick on a bouncing loose ball in front of the Suffolk goal that sailed wide of the net.

Junior Nathan Trucks (Guilford, Conn.) played the first half of the contest in goal for the Lynx as he allowed the lone goal of the game while stopping five Suffolk shots. Freshman Trevor Martin (Whitinsville, Mass.) relieved Trucks for the second half only needing to make one save as he kept Suffolk at bay offensively.

Lesley will be back in action on Wednesday evening as they host Emerson College at 8:00pm in non-conference action. Suffolk will also be back on the soccer pitch on Wednesday as they host Emmanuel College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game at 7:00pm at Dilboy Stadium in Somerville.
