Soccer Falls to Lesley, 1-0

Senior goalkeeper Jack DeJesus (Swampscott, Mass.) made 13 saves but his efforts weren't enough as the Lesley University Lynx (11-1) topped the Suffolk University Rams (5-5-1) in non-conference Men's Soccer action on Wednesday evening.

After a lighting delay both teams started the nightcap at 9:00pm, but the Rams offense couldn't muster any offensive power as they were shutout for the third game in a row.

Junior Jonathan Jones-Takano (Tokyo, Japan) scored the game's lone goal with ten minutes remaining hitting a booming shot past DeJesus from twenty yards out after being set up by senior Tyler Reeves (Conventry, Conn.) as the Lynx pick up their eleventh win of the season.

Senior Zachary Almeida-Beers (Rehoboth, Mass.) only needed to make two saves in posting his sixth shutout of the season for Lesley.

The Lynx controlled much of the offensive tempo as they outshot the Rams 22-4 in the game.

Suffolk will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Albertus Magnus College to take on the Falcons in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at 3:30pm.
